Given its hardness and strength qualities, combined with its relative light weight, Ash has been the superior choice for all types of sports equipment for many years.  Bats, oars, hockey sticks and even tool handles are a few of the more practical uses.  With a grain similar to that of Red Oak, its color varies from light cream to tan brown.  Ash also makes a very good choice for such things as cabinets, fine furniture and floors.
